NorthHost hosts your Unturned server from €3.50/month, on Intel Xeon Gold at 3.70 GHz or Ryzen 9 7950X at 4.50 GHz. Steam Workshop mods and maps, OpenMod and RocketMod plugins, DDoS protection included and support 7 days a week.
Two ranges, three plans each. Intel for the lowest price, Ryzen when the map fills up with players and player-built bases.
A free survival game, a huge community, and a server that costs about as much as a coffee a month.
Unturned is free on Steam, which makes it the easiest survival game to get a group of friends into. The catch is that a game hosted from a PC disappears the moment the host disconnects: the bases you built, the loot you hoarded and all the progress start again from zero.
On a dedicated server, your map keeps running while you sleep. Your players log in whenever they want, keep their bases, and you add Steam Workshop mods from the control panel without editing a single configuration file by hand.
Every map : Official or Workshop, switched from the panel
Mods and plugins : Steam Workshop, OpenMod and RocketMod
Lightweight server : A Unity game that boots in seconds
Ready in 3 min : Deployed automatically after your order
Unturned is far lighter than most survival games. An official map with around twenty players runs in 4 GB. Move up to 6 GB for a large map such as Washington or Russia, and aim for 10 GB or more as soon as you stack Workshop maps and plugins: it is the structures players build and the loot left on the ground that push memory up week after week.
Yes. Add the Workshop IDs to the configuration from the control panel, the server downloads the files on startup and your players get them automatically when they join. Maps, weapons, vehicles, item packs: anything published on the Steam Workshop works.
RocketMod is the original plugin framework and plenty of plugins are still written for it. OpenMod is its successor, actively maintained, and it can run a good share of RocketMod plugins through a compatibility layer. For a new server, start with OpenMod. Both install on our Unturned plans, and you keep full access to the files.
The number of slots is set in the server configuration, not by a limit on our side. In practice, count on 24 players with the Pulse plan, 32 to 48 with Flow and more than 48 with Scale. The more plugins and player-built bases the map holds, the more memory each player needs.
Yes. Washington, PEI, Yukon, Hawaii, Russia, Elver, Arid or a Steam Workshop map: you switch from the control panel and it takes effect on the next restart. Back up your world first, since each map keeps its own save.
Connect over FTP from the control panel and drop in your instance folder, with your saves and your configuration. If you would rather not touch it, open a ticket: our support team handles the migration free of charge.
Your Unturned server is delivered automatically in under 3 minutes once payment is confirmed. Your access details arrive by e-mail straight after.
You can move up to a larger Unturned plan at any time from your client area: the change is immediate and you only pay the pro-rata difference. A smaller plan takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
The delivery e-mail contains the IP address, the port, the FTP details and the link to the panel. That information also stays available in your client area.
Refunds are issued as credit on your client area balance, which can be used on any of our services. Write to support through a ticket to request one.
